1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how WonderLogiQ LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the EatMe platform available at eatme.wonderlogiq.com ("EatMe" or the "Platform"). EatMe is a bidirectional rating platform where restaurants rate customers and customers rate restaurants.
By using EatMe, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information
Name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.
2.2 Profile Information
Profile photo, bio, city, and state. For restaurant accounts: restaurant name, address, cuisine type, logo, and GPS coordinates.
2.3 Ratings and Reviews
All ratings and written reviews you give or receive on the Platform, including star ratings, tags, and review text.
2.4 EatMe Score
Your calculated EatMe Score, derived from ratings you have received. This score is visible to other users as part of the Platform's core functionality.
2.5 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment information on our servers. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
2.6 Usage Data and Logs
Server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and performance monitoring.
2.7 GPS Location
When you use the "Near Me" feature, we access your device's GPS location to find nearby restaurants. This location data is used only for the duration of the search request and is not stored permanently.
2.8 Google Business Profile Data
If you connect your Google Business Profile, we access your business information and reviews through Google's API with your explicit authorization via OAuth 2.0.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the bidirectional rating platform and display ratings and reviews
- To calculate and display your EatMe Score based on received ratings
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (account verification, notifications) via SendGrid
- To provide location-based restaurant search via GPS and Google Places
- To investigate and resolve disputes between users
- To improve the Platform's features, performance, and security
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
4. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data.
We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the Platform:
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions
- SendGrid — transactional email delivery
- Google — Places API for restaurant search and Google Business Profile integration
We do not share individual EatMe Scores with third parties. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: Upon account deletion, your personal data (name, email, profile information) is removed within 30 days. Anonymized rating data (with reviewer identity removed) may be retained to maintain platform integrity and accurate scores for other users.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
6. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — Delete your account and associated personal data through your account settings
- Data portability — Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt out of marketing — Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (transactional emails are not affected)

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure API authentication (JWT). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
EatMe is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of EatMe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
